TETRA LAND SERVICES; LAND ENGINEER

Tetra Land Services is seeking a skilled Land Engineer to join our team in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have expertise in land development, civil engineering principles, and project management, with a focus on designing and overseeing land-related projects in compliance with local regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Land Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in land development or civil engineering, preferably in the Houston metropolitan area.
  • Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant design software.
  • Knowledge of stormwater management systems, including detention and drainage design.
  • Familiarity with GIS and land surveying techniques.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of local Houston zoning codes, permitting processes, and Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) standards.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and design site plans for residential, commercial, and industrial land development projects.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments.
  • Prepare engineering land plans, specifications, and cost estimates for land development projects.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, including developers, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with City of Houston, Harris County, and Texas state regulations, including stormwater management and environmental standards.
  • Perform grading, drainage, and utility design for land development projects.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Provide technical support during construction phases and conduct site inspections.
