THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Land Manager to join our team here at EDF Renewables in Ireland.
As a Land Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, acquiring, and managing land access rights for a growing portfolio of wind, solar, and battery storage projects. You will play a crucial role in securing suitable sites and negotiating land agreements with various stakeholders in line with project requirements.
This role requires clear communication, expert negotiation, and reporting skills along with an understanding of land acquisition processes and renewable energy development in Ireland.

You’ll hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in Land Management or related field; and a Bachelors degree in Land Management, Real Estate, Agricultural Science or related field in addition to;

  • Strong knowledge of land acquisition processes, including title searches, land surveys, and lease negotiations
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Strong organisational and reporting skills with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Flexibility to travel as needed to visit potential sites and meet with landowners
  • Ability to work independently as part of multidisciplinary team
  • Full clean driving licens
Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

What we need is someone to identify and evaluate potential land sites for wind, solar, and battery renewable energy projects – is that you?

If so, you’ll also be an integral part of the team to;

  • Negotiate and secure land access agreements such as leases, and easements with landowners, ensuring favourable terms and conditions for the company in line with the Company governance arrangements
  • Collaborate with project development teams to ensure land acquisition timelines and budget align with overall project timelines and objectives
  • Coordinate with legal and development teams throughout the land acquisition process
  • Maintain accurate records of engagements and land agreements, contracts and communications
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to develop project land strategies
  • Ensure all land requirements are captured in the project consenting strategy & plan
  • Assist with the community engagement strategy in conjunction with the project development team
  • Responsible to monitor the land legal and commercial terms before and after land agreements are signed and completed
  • Uphold land and commercial governance practice standards to ensure compliance and ethical practices
  • Stay updated on industry trends, policies, and best practices related to land acquisition and renewable energy development

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE GREAT AT THIS ROLE?

Location: This will be a hybrid role with a contractual location in Dublin. You must be open to travelling to our locations for site visits.
