JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced Mining Land Manager to oversee and maintain a comprehensive database of over 10,000 mining properties. This individual will be responsible for property maintenance and updates, regulatory compliance, agreement documentation, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate has a strong background in land management within the mining industry and is highly organized and detail-oriented.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in land management within a mining administrative environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geology, Land Administration, Environmental Studies, or a related field (required).
  • Proficiency with mapping software (e.g., GIS tools) and land management software.
  • Strong understanding of Ontario’s mining legislation, land tenure systems, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $130,000.00-$150,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update the mining land/property management system and database (10,000+ properties).
  • Oversee property claims, royalties, obligations, and critical deadlines.
  • Create and manage a complete electronic database of property agreements and related legal documentation.
  • Monitor and report on legislative and regulatory changes affecting mining land.
  • Liaise with legal, land, and tax authorities, as well as external parties such as prospectors and the Ontario Mining Association.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration across legal, regulatory, tax, and operations teams.
  • Ensure compliance with land tenure and property management policies.
  • Utilize land management and mapping software to track, visualize, and manage property information.
