Description SeamonWhiteside is in search of an ambitious and talented professional to serve as a Land Planner I. Land Planner I is an entry level position that will focus on learning the foundations of how to be a landscape architect in a multidisciplinary firm. The Land Planner I will need to have a solid technical foundation (planning, modeling, construction knowledge) and display a positive attitude and involvement on a wide range of projects. This position will work closely with landscape architects and civil engineers on multiple projects on a variety of scales. Essential Job Functions Meet task deadlines related to projects Learn SW+ file management, project organization, and drafting standards Understand regulations of the landscape architecture field Coordinate with Surveyors, Civil Engineers, and other design professionals Research agency regulations and design standards for specific projects Participate in design Perform quantity takeoffs Develop local plant knowledge Prepare geometric plans Conduct site analysis and inventory Requirements Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in landscape architecture Experience: 0 - 2 years’ experience in a professional design office Desired Skills: Exceptional AutoCAD technical drawing and digital production skills Proficiency in 3D modelling and rendering skills (Lumion, Sketchup, or similar preferred) Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
