Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you ready to take the next step in your property career with a dynamic and purpose-driven team? We have an exciting 12-month opportunity for a passionate and experienced Land and Property Officer to become an integral part of our Sport & Property team.
This role works closely with the Manager of Sport & Property and is an important part of our team, helping to ensure Council land and property are managed in ways that benefit our community. You’ll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate approvals, manage transactions, and help with daily tasks to keep everything running smoothly.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate and deliver Council land authorisations and transactions in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
  • Liaise and negotiate with land/property owners and consultants on various land/property related matters, including researching and providing recommendations on prospective outcomes.
  • Prepare and coordinate correspondence for distribution to internal and external stakeholders, including managing the public consultation process associated with land/property related matters.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Relevant qualifications in a field associated with property and land transactions or have demonstrated equivalent relevant experience.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • A proactive and problem-solving attitude.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
