POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Director of Land Stewardship, the Land Referrals Officer is responsible for managing and overseeing land referrals within the McLeod Lake Indian Band’s traditional territory. This role ensures that land use decisions made by external stakeholders align with the Band’s cultural, environmental, and economic values. The Land Referrals Officer will work closely with government agencies, industry representatives, and community members to review land use referrals, conduct site assessments, and ensure that all land-related activities respect traditional knowledge and practices.
