We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Land Survey Assistant / Labourer to join our team. This is a physically active, hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors in a variety of terrains and weather conditions.
As part of our team, you will support both field operations and stake preparation work. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in the surveying industry.

REQUIREMENTS

• Basic understanding of land surveying theory and GPS usage
• Solid math skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, rain, etc.)
• Physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs or more
• Safety-conscious and able to follow instructions
• Ability to work independently
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is an asset

SURVEY ASSISTANT DUTIES:

• Carry and set up survey equipment in the field
• Record clear and accurate field notes
• Use basic GPS tools for positioning and data collection
• Assist with taking precise field measurements
• Work on uneven or multi-level terrain in a variety of outdoor environments
• Follow directions from the survey crew chief and work well as part of a team

LABOURER DUTIES:

• Manufacture survey stakes by cutting, milling, bundling, and banding wood
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Assist with loading and unloading equipment and materials
