Description Allpoints Surveying is seeking a Land Survey Technician to join our growing team in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and detail-oriented with an inquisitive mindset. The Land Survey Technician is tasked with performing boundary analysis and calculations, verifying field work, identifying errors or inconsistencies, and checking guidelines to verify that field work falls within jurisdictional, community, and/or builder-specific requirements. Requirements One-year certificate, associate’s degree, or equivalent in Land Surveying or Data Base Entry from a two-year college or technical school. A minimum of two (2) years of Land Surveying experience. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. High degree of attention to detail. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities Imports field data into base drawing files that can be utilized by the Drafting team. Creates base drawing files in AutoCAD to utilize for required work tasks, providing necessary calculations, as appropriate. Creates new field tasks as necessary to correct and/or provide clarity on jobs, as needed. Performs quality control reviews of previous work as required or upon request. Maintains record of observations and other key metrics related to quality control, while identifying and recommending solutions, improvements, and updates. Identifies complex problems and reviews related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Other duties as assigned. Working Conditions This role follows a five-day (5) workweek, with employees expected to work in the Houston office from Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
The Land Survey Technician imports field data into base drawing files and creates base drawing files in AutoCAD for required work tasks. They also perform quality control reviews and maintain records related to quality control while identifying solutions and improvements.
