POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled Survey Technician to join our team, responsible for conducting surveys to provide accurate measurements and data for various projects. The ideal candidate will utilize GPS technology and other surveying tools to ensure high-quality results and support project management efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct land surveys using GPS technology and other surveying instruments.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate survey records and reports.
  • Assist in data collection for mapping and construction projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to provide survey data for design and layout purposes.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and safety standards in survey operations.
  • Operate and maintain surveying equipment and instruments.
  • Assist in the training and mentoring of junior staff and interns.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in surveying or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Survey Technician or similar role.
  • Proficiency in GPS technology and surveying software.
  • Familiarity with land surveying techniques and principles.
  • Nice to have: Experience with BIM, grading, laser scanning, layouts, and instrument operation.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
