JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Land Surveyor to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a Land Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in supporting our infrastructure projects by conducting precise measurements, analyzing data, and ensuring compliance with approved design drawings.

  • Perform construction stakeout and detailed site surveys for infrastructure projects, including roads and underground utilities
  • Review and verify setting-out points provided by contractors to ensure alignment with approved IFC drawings and benchmarks
  • Conduct topographic, boundary, utility, and as-built surveys using advanced surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS, and data collectors
  • Coordinate with the supervision team to ensure survey data accurately reflects design intent and construction requirements
  • Research and analyze legal records, existing survey data, and previous boundary lines relevant to project sites
  • Record and verify the accuracy of survey measurements, elevations, and coordinates
  • Prepare comprehensive survey reports, CAD-based drawings, and metes-and-bounds documentation for client submission and internal project records
  • Monitor construction progress and ensure site levels and alignments conform to approved designs and regulations
  • Assist in resolving discrepancies in site conditions and survey layouts
  • Ensure the protection of existing utilities and structures during construction works, maintaining proper survey reference and documentation
  • Stay updated on local land surveying regulations and best practices in Abu Dhabi

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, Surveying, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience for degree holders or 10+ years for diploma holders in land surveying on infrastructure projects
  • Proven experience with total stations, GPS, data collectors, and CAD software
  • Strong knowledge of construction layouts, field surveys, and infrastructure project requirements
  • Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in survey data analysis and interpretation
  • In-depth understanding of local land surveying regulations and standards, particularly in Abu Dhabi
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Familiarity with Abu Dhabi’s land surveying regulations and practices is highly desirable
