Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Land Surveyor to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a Land Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in collecting and analyzing data to map land shapes for various civil engineering and construction projects.

  • Conduct site surveys of control points and levels for a range of structures and construction elements
  • Perform initial surveys and environmental impact assessments on potential sites to evaluate the feasibility of construction plans
  • Utilize advanced surveying instruments and GPS technology to chart exact coordinates of site features
  • Analyze and interpret site data to create accurate representations of land features
  • Monitor land movement and subsidence caused by construction activities or natural processes
  • Draft 2D and 3D drawings using computer-aided design software and other cartographic techniques
  • Collaborate closely with discipline engineers (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, etc.) to ensure compliance with construction documents and standards
  • Supervise and record all contractor activities on site related to land surveying
  • Ensure adherence to safety procedures and quality control standards throughout all surveying operations
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on survey findings for project stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, or a related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in land surveying
  • Proficiency in using CAD software, survey software, total stations, data collectors, and GPS equipment
  • Strong knowledge of surveying techniques, safety procedures, and quality control
  • Valid land surveying license or certification (if required in Abu Dhabi)
  • Familiarity with local regulations and standards in Abu Dhabi
  • Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Physical ability to work in various outdoor environments and weather conditions
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Willingness to travel to different project sites within Abu Dhabi
