JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Land Surveyor to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a Land Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in our organization, conducting precise measurements and providing accurate data for various construction and infrastructure projects.

  • Perform topographic surveys and prepare detailed reports
  • Analyze and interpret construction drawings, proposing changes when necessary
  • Establish and maintain vertical control data through benchmark observations
  • Verify and validate survey data and calculations for accuracy
  • Research legal documents, survey records, and land titles to clarify property boundaries
  • Calculate slopes, plot cross-sectional areas, and determine meeting points
  • Identify existing utilities as per concerned authorities’ NOC (No Objection Certificate)
  • Supervise earthwork activities, including embankments, road formations, and pavement layers
  • Manage and coordinate all survey-related construction activities
  • Collaborate with project engineers, site supervisors, and superintendents to plan upcoming survey needs
  • Calculate quantities for various survey works and prepare daily activity reports
  • Contribute to the development of shop drawings and as-built documentation
  • Inspect and verify as-built drawings for accuracy and completeness
  • Ensure proper calibration of survey instruments and maintain relevant certificates
  • Prepare snag lists before site handover to the client
  • Supervise and inspect road profiles, speed humps, and streetlight installations

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in land surveying, with Middle East experience preferred
  • Proficiency in survey software and CAD programs
  • Extensive knowledge of topographic surveying techniques and equipment
  • Strong skills in construction drawing interpretation and analysis
  • Experience in vertical control data observation and benchmark establishment
  • Proven ability to verify and validate survey data and calculations
  • Familiarity with legal document research related to property boundaries
  • Expertise in slope calculation, cross-sectional area plotting, and quantity estimation
  • Knowledge of local regulations and standards in Abu Dhabi and the UAE
  • Experience in utility identification and coordination with relevant authorities
  • Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Experience with roads and bridges projects is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with local construction practices and standards in Abu Dhabi is advantageous
