KEY REQUIREMENTS :

  • Qualifications : Degree or diploma in Land Surveying , or a related field.
  • Experience : At least 2-5 years of experience in land surveying, preferably in the construction industry .
  • Certifications : Certification from a professional body, such as Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers (SISV) , will be a bonus
  • Technical Skills : Proficient in the use of surveying equipment (e.g., Total Station, GPS, Laser Scanners, etc.) and survey software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, LSS, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Regulations : Familiar with local surveying laws , building codes, and industry standards in Singapore.
  • Attention to Detail : Strong ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in data and measurements to ensure accuracy.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills to prepare reports, interact with clients, and collaborate with team members.
  • Problem-Solving : Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions on-site and troubleshoot challenges effectively.
  • Physical Stamina : Ability to work in the field and on construction sites, sometimes in demanding weather conditions.
Responsibilities
  • Surveying and Mapping : Conduct land surveys to determine property boundaries, topography, and elevation for construction sites and infrastructure projects.
  • Data Collection and Analysis : Use advanced survey equipment (e.g., GPS, Total Stations, Laser Scanners) to collect precise measurement data, and analyze the results for project planning.
  • Site Measurements : Provide accurate field measurements to ensure construction activities align with design plans, and assist in setting out key reference points on site.
  • Construction Support : Collaborate with project engineers and architects to support the design, layout, and execution of construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
  • Monitoring and Reporting : Conduct as-built surveys to monitor construction progress, ensuring that deviations from the design are detected early and reported accurately.
  • Compliance : Ensure that all surveying work complies with local laws and regulations , including those set by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) and other relevant authorities.
  • Preparation of Survey Plans : Prepare and present survey reports , drawings, and sketches for client approval, detailing the site conditions and any required adjustments to the design.
  • Project Coordination : Work alongside other surveying and engineering teams to deliver precise and timely surveys for construction projects, contributing to project planning and decision-making.
  • Quality Control : Perform routine checks and ensure the accuracy and quality of the data collected and processed. Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues that arise during fieldwork.
