Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services (www.protecnium.com/en). We are currently looking for a Land Surveyor to join our team for a High-Speed Project in Brackley, UK.
Estimated duration of the position: 30 months contract collaborating with the client (Potential for reassignment to other projects)
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 10 hours per day

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in land surveying on large-scale civil/structural projects.
  • Solid command of surveying instruments and software, including total stations, GNSS/GPS systems, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of surveying procedures in structural works, especially bridges or viaducts.
  • English proficiency at C1 level (spoken and written).
  • Permit to work in the UK is mandatory.
Responsibilities
  • Survey Control & Layout: Execute and manage survey operations, including control point establishment, setting out, and verification of alignment for structural elements.
  • Monitoring & Scanning: Conduct topographical surveys, monitoring, 3D scans, and drone flights (as applicable) to detect deviations and ensure ongoing accuracy.
  • Structures-Focused Surveying: Provide support throughout the life cycle of bridge and viaduct construction — from piles to parapets — ensuring dimensional compliance and as-built data.
  • Team Coordination: Collaborate closely with structural engineers and supervise junior surveyors to guarantee technical standards and safety compliance.
  • Reporting & Quality Assurance: Produce quality reports and maintain detailed records of survey data and measurements, highlighting any issues or required adjustments.
