Job Title: Land Surveyor – Civil High-Rise Projects
Location: United Arab Emirates (UAE)
Experience Level: 3+ years (UAE experience mandatory)

Reports To: Project Manager / Senior Engineer

JOB SUMMARY:

A highly skilled and experienced Land Surveyor is required for overseeing and executing surveying tasks on high-rise construction projects in the UAE. The role involves accurate measurement, data collection, setting out, and verification to ensure project alignment with design specifications and local regulations. The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of construction surveying in urban, high-density environments and be proficient in the use of modern surveying equipment and software.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of land surveying experience in the UAE, specifically in high-rise buildings or large-scale civil projects.
  • Deep understanding of Dubai Municipality, Abu Dhabi DMT, or similar regulatory body requirements.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced construction environments.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • UAE Driving License is often preferred or required.

Responsibilities
  • Topographic & Geodetic Surveys:
  • Conduct detailed land and topographic surveys for site preparation.
  • Establish control points and benchmarks as per project requirements.
  • Construction Layout & Set-Out:
  • Perform precise layout of foundations, columns, core walls, and other structural elements for high-rise buildings.
  • Set out lines, levels, and other site features in accordance with drawings and design specs.
  • Monitoring and Verification:
  • Monitor verticality and alignment of structural elements during construction.
  • Perform as-built surveys and prepare comparison reports for verification by engineers and consultants.
  • Use of Equipment & Software:
  • Operate Total Station, GPS, Auto Levels, and Digital Theodolites.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other survey-related software.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Prepare daily/weekly survey reports, sketches, and logs.
  • Maintain accurate records of all survey data and coordinate with engineers and consultants.
  • Team Coordination:
  • Supervise and guide junior surveyors and assistants.
  • Coordinate with site engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure survey accuracy and project timelines.
  • Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure all survey work complies with UAE standards, Dubai Municipality, or other relevant authorities.
  • Follow site safety protocols during surveying activities.
