The operation consists of two concentrators, crushed-ore leach pad and stacking system, a low-grade run-of-mine (ROM) leaching system; four SX plants; and three EW tank houses that produce copper cathode.     Morenci is a unique company town where our employees and their families can reconnect with nature through hiking, fishing, camping, hunting and numerous parks. Visit the Morenci town website to learn more. What You Will Do Under general supervision, acquires, processes, maintains and disposes of the company's rights and interests in lands and leases at assigned site.   Develops and maintains historical records of land, mineral and water leases Acquires and disposes of land and rights-of-way, as assigned Negotiates and administers routine contracts with various governmental and private entities and their representatives Updates and maintains automated contract management databases Generates regular and ad hoc reports for site management Performs other duties as required What You Bring To Freeport Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelors degree in Geology or closely related area Three (3) years experience in an area or areas relevant to the assignment Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws, ordinances, statutes, regulations, rules, policies and procedures Skilled in negotiation and facilitation Able to research and analyze information and draw valid conclusions Skilled in utilizing computer databases to research, maintain and update records and files Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Preferred Competent with GIS software Basic knowledge of hydrogeology Basic knowledge of real estate transactions Familiarity with the 1872 Mining Law Basic accounting skills Project management experience What We Offer You  The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $73,500-$101,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors.
