Your skill set. A Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture Landscape Architectural licensure preferred LEED or sustainability accreditation preferred Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a landscape architecture capacity required Experience with commercial and residential design Passion for design and landscape architecture, possessing an outstanding ability to communicate complex design ideas to audiences with varying degrees of design knowledge Proficiency in AutoCAD for design and technical drafting, and experience in 3D modeling software such as SketchUp Ability to hand sketch design solutions and conceptual ideas for presentations and coordination Demonstrated experience working through entire project process from concept to construction completion Experience participating in client meetings, including preparing presentation graphics Perform contract coordination and development of requirements and specifications Explore innovative solutions for performative site design and infrastructural systems Work effectively within a collaborative team environment and multi-disciplinary design teams Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously prioritizing within studio needs Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident, or possess a work visa to legally work in the U.S. A day in the life. Contribute to a variety of different types of projects as our “in house” landscape architect Work fluidly between studios assisting in multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines Provide technical expertise to generate documents for projects ranging in size and scope Ensure quality control on all deliverables Understands the fundamental relationships and contractual obligations between the designers, consultants, owner and contractors Represents A&E + SMA Design in all client communications in regular intervals between all stages of the agreement and post-agreement activities Execute client agreements with defined scope and schedule, educating clients about the defined terms Schedule, attend, and record required meetings with clients, project team members, and stakeholder groups Periodically travel for site visits, inspections, and client meetings Maintain constant updates related to project completion, including schedule and billing milestones Strive to innovate, learn, and improve, never settling for the status quo Perks of the work. Responsibilities
The landscape architect will contribute to various projects, providing technical expertise and ensuring quality control on deliverables. They will also represent the firm in client communications and manage project schedules and milestones.
