Job Description
AECOM is seeking an experienced (Principal to Director) Landscape Architect for our Canberra office.
This is an opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary practice focused on high-performing landscapes that tackle climate change, interconnectivity and mobility, smart growth, ecological systems, and natural resources.
We are looking for a passionate Landscape Architect who is energised by a collaborative design process that engages colleagues, clients, and the communities we serve.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all phases of landscape architecture projects, from initial concept through construction.
- Develop innovative and sustainable design solutions that meet client needs and align with project goals.
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Work with team members to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Manage, mentor and guide junior landscape architects and designers, fostering professional growth within the team.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure high-quality project outcomes.
Qualifications

- A degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Landscape Architecture, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proven experience in leading and managing complex projects and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
- Excellent design, visualization, and presentation skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software such as Revit, Auto CAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp and 3D modelling tools.
- Membership or eligibility for membership with AILA (Australian Institute of Landscape Architects).
