Thomas & Hutton is seeking an experienced and visionary Landscape Architect Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Durham, North Carolina. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a passion for innovative design and a proven track record in managing complex projects from conception to completion. The position will manage a diverse portfolio of projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure the highest standards of design excellence. Responsibilities: * Lead and mentor a team of landscape architects by providing guidance and support throughout all project phases to produce high-quality, innovative, and sustainable designs. * Oversee projects from start to finish, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery. * Collaborate with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to develop and implement project designs. * Build and nurture client relationships, including networking, preparing proposals, interviewing, and negotiating fees. * Prepare and deliver project proposals, presentations, and reports. * Ensure compliance with industry standards and local regulations. * Effectively manage project budgets and timelines. * Continuously improve project processes and techniques. * Develop and implement strategies to ensure team member growth and development. Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture. * Professional license or registration (RLA/PLA). * A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in landscape architecture design and project management. * Experience with various project types (e.g., parks, commercial, master planned communities, etc.) * Experience with the entitlement process and site planning. * Knowledge of industry standards and best practices. * Experience with project budgeting and cost estimation. * Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve project goals. * Experience with sustainable design principles and practices. * Knowledge of local regulations and permitting processes. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. * Experience in managing and mentoring a team of landscape architects. * Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Must submit a portfolio that accurately represents experience and understanding of the design process, including built projects photos, presentation graphics, and other design materials that represent skill set.
