REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on landscape construction experience
• Confident operating:
• Skid steer
• Mini excavator
• Plate tamper
• Concrete saw
• Laser level
• Strong experience with:
• Interlocking brick pavers
• Grading and excavation
• Retaining walls and armour stone
• Minor carpentry
• Softscaping
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
• Ability to work independently and lead a small crew
• Valid Ontario G-Class Driver’s License with clean driving record
• 3-year driver’s abstract required at time of application
• Must be able to drive a truck and trailer confidently
• Reliable transportation to our yard in Vineland, ON
• Must supply your own CSA-approved steel-toed boots and PPE

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Landscape Construction Lead Hand to join our team in Vineland, ON. You’ll report to the Crew Lead and Construction Manager and assist in supervising a crew of 2–4 labourers. When the Crew Lead is away, you’ll be responsible for leading the team and keeping projects on track.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and supervise a 3–5 person crew in the Crew Lead’s absence
• Interpret and implement construction plans and blueprints
• Complete all phases of landscape construction projects from start to finish with minimal supervision
• Maintain job site safety, cleanliness, and organization
• Coordinate daily tasks with management and occasionally interact with clients
• Anticipate potential issues and solve them proactively
• Ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards
