Description
Description Accelerate Your Project Management Career Villani Landshapers is hiring a decisive, organized, and growth-minded Project Manager to lead one, major long-term commercial landscape construction project from planning through completion. This is not a traditional multi-project PM role. You will fully own one large, complex installation — working daily from the job site alongside installation crews, general contractors, and internal operations. Experience on large-scale commercial or industrial projects (data centers strongly preferred) will set candidates apart. What Makes This Role Unique? You Own One Major Project — Start to Finish Lead one long-term commercial installation through planning, execution, cost control, and close-out. Field-Based Leadership You’ll work primarily from the job site in Beaver Dam — staying closely connected to crews, progress, safety, and daily operations. Real Decision-Making Authority This role requires confident, real-time decision-making in the field. You’ll be empowered — and expected — to make daily calls related to scheduling, productivity, quality control, material flow, and scope changes. This is not a “find out and get back to you” environment. The right PM evaluates situations, makes informed decisions, and keeps the project moving. Structured Ramp-Up to Full Project Ownership This role is ideal for a Project Manager who may be early in their PM career but ready to step into full responsibility. You will: • Spend approximately your first 2 months training directly alongside our current Project Manager • Learn our processes for budgeting, scheduling, cost controls, safety leadership, and stakeholder communication hands-on • Gradually assume daily leadership and decision-making • Transition into sole ownership of the project for the remainder of its duration through 2027 This is a rare opportunity to grow quickly while leading a major commercial construction project. Requirements Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Execution Own planning, scheduling, execution, and close-out of a large commercial landscape project Lead daily coordination with the general contractor, subcontractors and our on-site superintendent and crews Run pre-job meetings, progress reviews, and issue resolution Manage change orders, documentation, and approvals Financial & Schedule Control Track labor, materials, and job costs daily Monitor budgets and drive efficiency Manage billing schedules and WIP reporting Complete final job cost analysis and continuous improvement reviews Safety & Compliance (On-Site Safety Officer Role) Serve as the primary on-site safety lead for the project Conduct daily safety walkthroughs and hazard prevention Enforce OSHA standards and company safety policies Promote a culture of accountability and injury prevention Communication & Collaboration Act as the main point of contact on site Keep all stakeholders informed and aligned Proactively solve issues before delays or cost overruns occur Ideal Background Strong fit for candidates who: Have 1–5+ years of project coordination or project management experience Have worked in construction, landscape, industrial, or commercial projects Are ready to move from supporting roles into full project ownership Are comfortable leading from the field Highly preferred: • Experience on long-term, large-scale projects (data centers a major plus) • Budgeting, scheduling, and job cost responsibility • Direct field crew coordination Safety bonus: • OSHA 30-hour certification (preferred) or willingness to obtain quickly • Prior experience serving as jobsite safety lead The Right Person Is Organized and detail-driven Comfortable making decisions in real time A strong communicator with crews and stakeholders Trustworthy with budgets, schedules, and clients Calm under pressure and solution-focused Passionate about building quality projects safely Compensation & Benefits Target Salary Range: $75,000+ annually (based on experience) Exceptional candidates with large-project experience may exceed this range. Benefits include: Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) Paid holidays and vacation time Voluntary short-term disability, life, accident and critical illness insurance Uniform program and company perks
