The Role This is a pure sales leadership role for a driven professional who thrives in discovery, process discipline, and relationship development. As a Landscape Construction Sales Representative, you serve as a trusted project advisor and guide. Your responsibility is to lead homeowners and professional partners through a proven sales process — uncovering real motivations, qualifying decisively, and aligning expectations around scope, investment, and outcomes. You are not an estimator. You are not a designer. Those roles are distinct skill sets within our organization and fully support the sales process, allowing you to focus entirely on discovery, client leadership, relationship building, and closing aligned work. This role includes both inbound opportunities and intentional outbound relationship development with professionals who influence luxury residential projects. What You’ll Sell Luxury, design-forward outdoor living projects, including: Custom paver patios and walkways Engineered segmental retaining walls Outdoor kitchens, fire features, and gathering spaces Full-property landscape transformations and enhancements Typical project size: $100,000 – $1,000,000+ What Your Week Looks Like Leading high-quality discovery conversations with qualified homeowners Conducting on-site consultations focused on vision, priorities, and outcomes Acting as the primary advisor throughout the sales journey Coordinating with design and estimating teams to support proposal development Presenting value-based solutions and guiding clients to confident decisions Protecting pricing integrity and margin discipline Maintaining clean documentation and follow-ups in LMN (CRM) Outbound & Relationship Development Building and maintaining strategic relationships with: High-end architects Residential designers Luxury home builders Real estate professionals and brokers Positioning Local Roots as the preferred outdoor living partner Creating a referral-driven pipeline through consistent, intentional outreach Strengthening long-term partnerships rather than chasing one-off deals Performance Expectations Maintain 20%+ net profit margin Sell work aligned with brand, process, and production capacity Generate a meaningful portion of pipeline through referral partnerships Compensation & Earnings Competitive base salary (commensurate with experience) On-Target Earnings: $300,000+ Our structure rewards disciplined sellers who close profitable, well-aligned work — not volume for volume’s sake.
