As part of our Design + Planning Team in Charlotte, you’ll work closely with Landscape Architects, Project Managers, and Professional Engineers to lead design efforts, coordinate across disciplines, and deliver high-quality, documentable design solutions. This role is ideal for experienced designers or emerging licensed professionals who are ready to take on greater responsibility, contribute to project leadership, and continue progressing in their professional development. Strengthen technical and creative expertise through advanced design production, graphics, and visualization. Collaborate with experienced professionals while taking on increased ownership of project deliverables. Play a key role in shaping design direction, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to project success. Hybrid schedule - about 3–4 days a week in the office. Why WithersRavenel? 100% Employee-Owned - your leadership directly impacts the success we all share People First Culture - a company that values balance, wellbeing, and authentic connection Legacy of Growth - opportunities to advance your career while investing in the growth of others Requirements 2+ years of experience Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited school, or equivalent experience Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, AutoCAD Civil3D, Geopak, and/or related technical software Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) Proficiency in SketchUp or other modeling software Experience in Microsoft Office applications Strong understanding of site design, grading, planting, and construction documentation Self-motivated, engaged, and team-oriented with the ability to work independently Execute multiple tasks under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail Strong communication skills, including presenting to teams and clients Experience in hand-graphics and rendering Willingness to take direction and learn software applications Preferred: Progress toward or attainment of Landscape Architecture licensure Experience leading portions of projects or client interactions Experience with hand graphics and advanced rendering techniques The intent of this position description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by incumbents of the position.
