We have a position available for a Landscape Gardener to join our growing team!
At Excape Group we are passionate about creating environments that encourage children to explore and grow with nature. Our team of experts specializes in constructing expansive outdoor environments packed with exciting elements, ranging from sandpits to slides, climbing structures to swings. We craft the ideal spaces where children are encouraged to engage in interactive games, fostering the development of their confidence and skills while enjoying endless play throughout the day.
We are looking for an experienced Landscape Gardener on a Full-Time Basis (38 hours / week) to help with various projects in Melbourne and the surrounding suburbs.

Your duties on site will consist of, but is not limited to:

  • Creating and maintaining seedbeds and cultivation sites
  • Propagating and placing trees, shrubs, hedgerows, flowers, and bulbs
  • Establishing lawns through topsoil application, grass planting, and instant turf installation
  • Caring for planted and grassy spaces through weeding, trimming, fertilization, watering, and mowing
  • Conducting pruning on trees and hedges, and implementing support and protective devices for plants
  • Developing plans and drawings, choosing materials and plants, and organizing landscape construction schedules
  • Installing both hardscape and softscape structures in designated areas
  • Constructing gravel and paved surfaces, walls, fences, pergolas, ponds, barbecues, and garden furniture
  • Inspecting trees to evaluate their condition and prescribe necessary treatments
  • Trimming tree limbs and shaping branches using chain and handsaws
  • Applying sprays and dusts to control insects and diseases in plants and trees, and removing diseased trees

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 2 years of work experience
  • High attention to detail,
  • Exceptional time management skills and punctuality is essential,
  • Police check or willing to obtain,
  • Working with Children’s Check or willing to obtain,
  • Driver’s Licence (Required),
