We are a small business that specialises in quality garden installation, horticultural care and maintenance.
We work on a variety of commercial and residential projects in the Cairns area.
Due to business growth, we are looking for a dedicated, passionate, experienced and motivated Landscape Gardener to join us in creating and maintaining Cairns’ beautiful landscapes. We are offering $75,000 to $80,000 per annum for this full time role

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Preparing plans and drawings, choosing materials and plants, and scheduling landscape construction;
• Setting out and installing hardscape and softs cape structures;
• Constructing gravel and paved areas, walls, fences, trellises, pergolas, ponds, barbecues and garden furniture;
• Preparing lawn areas by spreading topsoil and planting grass or laying turf;
• Preparing seed beds and growing sites;
• Planting and propagating bedding plants;
• Planting, transplanting, fertilizing, applying chemicals, watering, pruning and weeding trees,
• bushes, hedges, flowers and bulbs;
• Determining irrigation system needs;
• Installing irrigation systems;
• Testing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems;
• Operating gardening equipment e.g. hedgers, trimmers, brush cutters, whipper snippers, blowers, chainsaws, pole saws, wood chippers and ride on mowers;
• General garden maintenance including planting, mulching & weeding; and
• Weed and pest control.

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS GREAT ROLE YOU WILL:

• Be living in Australia with easy access to Cairns (Regional QLD)
• Have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role;
• Have the ability to work as part of a team;
• Have a proactive approach to your work;
• Have the ability to thrive in a busy and dynamic work environment & and the ability to provide positive outcomes;
• Pride yourself on your reputation of being punctual and reliable, have good presentation and communication skills and be able & willing to be a part of a strong, supportive team who achieve business goals together;
• Having an excavator license or a truck license would be highly regarded;
