We would like to invite skilled workers with experience working in the landscaping field. Someone who has the ability to problem solve, communicate effectively, lead/motivate, support staff and develop working relationships within our company. The ideal candidates must be able to work independently and with an eye for detail to make sound decisions to ensure top level satisfaction. A Foreman must lead by example, assign and delegate task responsibilities and ensure the entire team works towards a single goal. Responsibilities:

  • A leader who can motivate their team, leading by example, promote safety, Keep sites organized and ensure projects moving forward.
  • Plant flower beds, pots and
  • planters
  • A keen eye to details and layout of beds and platers as per the design set.
  • Maintain flower beds throughout the growing season, including pruning and replacements
  • Remove plant material at the end of the growing season
  • Use hand tools
  • Pick up litter
  • Electronic submission of time sheets, safety paperwork and other information at each property
  • Work within timelines to organize work tasks, and leave each property manicured
  • Maintain your truck in a tidy manner
  • Train new crew members
  • Complete other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years landscaping experience and 1 to 2 years of experience in a landscape supervisory role.
  • Post-secondary education in horticulture or equivalent experience is an asset.
  • Excellent knowledge of plants, along with the knowledge of horticultural practices that go along with installing and maintaining.
  • Comfortable with long hours outdoors and unpredictable weather.
  • Ability to take direction (verbal and written), learn and work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Must be reliable, trustworthy and punctual (various start times).
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform all other physical requirements (repetitive motion, bending, kneeling, and standing).
  • Valid Class 5 license with a clean abstract and reliable vehicle is required.
