Description The Landscape Installer is responsible for the professional installation of plants, trees, and landscape materials for residential and commercial projects. This role ensures each installation reflects Lukas Nursery’s high standards of quality, craftsmanship, and customer satisfaction. As a key member of the Landscape team, the Landscape Installer works closely with the Landscape Foreman to bring landscape plans to life, from site preparation and planting to cleanup and finishing touches. This hands-on position requires physical endurance, plant knowledge, and attention to detail to ensure each project thrives long after installation. This full-time, Non-Exempt position includes weekday hours with occasional weekends or overtime as project needs arise. Outdoor work in various Florida weather conditions is required. Requirements Care for plants through regular watering, fertilizing, pruning, trimming, and general maintenance. Monitor plant health and identify issues such as pests, disease, or stress. Assist with transplanting, spacing, staking, and other growing tasks. Maintain a clean and organized growing environment, and outdoor areas. Operate and maintain hoses, irrigation systems, tools, and other nursery equipment. Follow all safety protocols and proper handling procedures for chemicals, fertilizers, and tools. Communicate clearly with the growing manager about plant health, inventory needs, and maintenance priorities. Assist with seasonal displays, plant staging, and other nursery presentation tasks. Support the team with general nursery upkeep and customer service when needed. Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in plant care, horticulture, or related field preferred. Strong knowledge of plant maintenance practices, including watering, pruning, and fertilizing. Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly and work outdoors in varying conditions. Excellent attention to detail and observation skills for identifying plant health issues. Good communication and teamwork skills. Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or collaboratively. Must maintain professionalism and a positive attitude when interacting with team members and customers
