G&A Partners’ client is currently seeking an Irrigation Technician to join its team in Austin, Texas.
Responsibilities:

The Irrigation Technician will be responsible for:

  • Installations, maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting commercial and residential systems
  • Completing irrigation audits and generating reports
  • Conducting inventory of tools, equipment, materials, and enduring items are in good working order
  • Procuring irrigation parts and supplies
  • Setting and maintaining times on controllers
  • Mapping systems for master plans
  • Operating trenchers and rock saws to install lines
  • Fix drip, lateral and mainline leaks
  • Making adjustments to irrigation heads to improve system design
  • Installing rain sensors
  • Valve and manifold repair and rebuilding
  • Installing high-tech smart irrigation controllers
  • Adding on to existing systems
  • Install Micro and drip irrigation installation and enhancements
  • Install High-tech sensor and flow sensing installation

Qualifications:

  • Driver’s License and a clean driving record
  • 1-year minimum professional experience in irrigation
  • Authorized to work in the US and able to provide proof
  • Level of Education: High School Graduate or GED
  • Conversational proficiency in English
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
  • A working knowledge of automatic irrigation systems, such as conventional and two-wire systems
  • Experience in operating and maintaining machines, tools and equipment used in maintenance, installation and repair of irrigation systems
  • A thorough understanding of landscape irrigation requirements
  • The ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • Capable of strenuous physical labor for extended periods of time, while working in extreme weather conditions
  • Easily lift 100 lbs.
