Urban Life Solutions has an opening available for several Crew Lead positions in our Calgary office within the Landscape Maintenance division. Under the direction of the Site Superintendent, this position will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks including the upkeep and maintenance of gardens, lawns, parks and grounds for industrial, municipal, residential and, commercial properties, while providing exceptional customer service.

BASIC/REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum High School Diploma
• Valid Driver’s License (class 5) and ability to provide copy of driver’s abstract
• Must have reliable transportation, as the office location is not accessible by public transportation.
• Working knowledge of the use of common hand and power tools relative to landscape maintenance
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions
• Ability to maintain simple records and make verbal reports
• Strong adherence to ULS safety policies and protocol
• Legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous landscaping, snow removal and/or maintenance experience is an asset
• Ability to take direction, learn and work independently as well as part of a team
• Motivated and energetic team player with an attention to detail and great work ethic

• Demonstrating safety leadership and safe work practices at all times
• Working in accordance with ULS policies and procedures
• Providing exceptional customer service & client experiences
• Maintaining lawns, gardens and other landscaped areas, which includes: weeding, edging, cultivating, grass cutting, detail gardening, fertilizer application hedge trimming, manual snow removal
• Additional landscape maintenance tasks as required
