Urban Life Solutions has openings for multiple Crew Lead positions at our Calgary office within the Landscape Maintenance division. Under the direction of the Superintendent, this position will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks including the upkeep and maintenance of gardens, lawns, parks and grounds for industrial, municipal, and commercial properties.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (minimum)
• Working knowledge of the use of common hand and power tools relative to landscape maintenance
• Ability to maintain simple records and make verbal reports
• Legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship
• Previous landscaping, snow removal and/or maintenance experience is an asset
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to lift and carry 100lbs

• Demonstrate strong leadership skills
• Oversee crews for grass cutting, garden maintenance, equipment operation and general landscape maintenance activities
• Operating knowledge of a variety of landscape equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot problems with equipment
• Establish work schedules and procedures, and coordinate tasks with other work units
• Complete daily FLHA’s
• Train workers on required job duties and company policies
• Participate in snow and ice management operations during winter months
