Description The Landscape Team Leader is pivotal in successfully operating landscape maintenance services. This position is not just about managing and completing tasks; it involves leading a team to deliver high-quality landscaping work that enhances the beauty of client properties. Key Responsibilities Service Delivery: Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and strong communication. Oversee and participate in routine maintenance services, including spring cleanups, mulching, mowing, garden services, pruning, fall cleanups, and other specialty services. Assign responsibilities to your team, ensure everyone is clear on their responsibilities, and ensure timely completion of daily tasks. Inspect completed work by the team to ensure compliance with company standards and client expectations. Communicate creatively and effectively with clients in a way that supports company values and maintains positive relationships. Address any issues or concerns and ensure corrective actions are taken. All other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Equipment Management Ensure all landscaping equipment is maintained, stored, and used safely and effectively. Report any equipment malfunctions or repairs that need to be made to fleet services. Safety and Compliance Enforce safety regulations and practices within the team, ensuring adherence to all company, local, state, and federal guidelines. Follow and enforce company policies and standards for you and your team. Identify potential hazards and take corrective actions to mitigate risks. Record Keeping Maintain accurate records of work performed, time sheets, job photos, and team performance. Facilitate excellent customer service by utilizing the company documentation process for reporting service-related issues to management. Seasonal Snow Removal Assist with snow removal duties (shoveling, plowing, salt/sand application) during the winter months as necessary. Requirements Skills and Qualifications Skilled in operating tools, vehicles, and small engine equipment safely. Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills. Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred). A valid driver’s license DOT Medical Certification Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50 lbs or more, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks. Comfortable working outdoors in various conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
