Garden City Tree & Landscape Ltd. is hiring Landscape Technicians to join our growing Landscape Construction Division. We create outdoor environments across Greater Victoria for residential and commercial clients and we’re looking for reliable, hard-working individuals who want to grow in a professional and supportive team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience in landscaping, construction, masonry, carpentry, or a related outdoor trade.
  • A strong work ethic with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
  • Physically fit and able to perform labor-intensive tasks such as digging, lifting, raking, trenching, and material handling.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • A valid Class 5 Driver’s License is an asset.

Responsibilities
  • Build and install hardscapes including patios, walkways, driveways, pavers, retaining walls, and other stone or wood features.
  • Install softscape elements such as trees, shrubs, soil, sod, and mulch.
  • Contribute to irrigation system installations and drainage solutions.
  • Operate a range of power tools and equipment (e.g. skid steers, walk-behinds, compaction tools, cutting saws).
  • Load, unload, and secure equipment and materials for transport.
  • Follow site safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Collaborate with foremen and crew members to complete projects efficiently.
  • Take part in winter work, including snow removal and anti-ice applications, as required.
