Description

Position Overview
We are seeking an Experienced Landscaper to join our team. This position requires proven skills in landscape construction, the ability to read and interpret site plans, and leadership in assisting crew members. You’ll take part in building complex outdoor projects from start to finish, ensuring efficiency and quality on every site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret landscape design plans, construction drawings, and material lists.
  • Lead or assist in the installation of hardscapes (patios, walkways, retaining walls, outdoor kitchens, fire pits, water features).
  • Perform grading, drainage work, and base preparation to industry standards.
  • Install softscapes including trees, shrubs, perennials, sod, and mulch (no ongoing maintenance work).
  • Operate and maintain power tools and heavy equipment such as skid steers, mini-excavators, saws, and compactors.
  • Direct and mentor laborers to ensure safe and efficient work.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and occasionally with clients on-site.
  • Maintain high standards for job site cleanliness, safety, and professionalism.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in landscape construction or related trade.
  • Strong knowledge of proper base preparation, compaction, grading, and installation techniques.
  • Skilled in building retaining walls, laying pavers, cutting stone, and using construction tools.
  • Experience operating skid steers, mini-excavators, or similar equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license (Class 5 or higher) required; Class 1A/3A is an asset.
  • Ability to lead or mentor less experienced crew members.
  • Physically capable of heavy lifting, digging, and working in outdoor conditions.
  • Safety certifications (First Aid, WHMIS, equipment operator tickets) considered an asset.

Pay: $25.00-$34.00 per hour
