QUALIFICATIONS

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Highly experienced in landscape construction with 5+ years in the industry and at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Skilled in managing crews of 3–6 people on complex projects.
  • Proficient in hardscaping, softscaping, grading, drainage, planting, and finishing details.
  • A strong communicator with the ability to build trust with clients, team members, and management.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects at once while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather.
  • In possession of a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation across the Lower Mainland.
  • Certified in First Aid (or willing to obtain).
Responsibilities

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Landscaping Foreman, you’ll be the primary leader on landscape construction projects, managing crews, resources, and client relationships from start to finish.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Full Project Leadership – Plan, organize, and oversee all phases of construction, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to Oak Landscaping’s high-quality standards.
  • Team Management – Direct, mentor, and motivate crew members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Safety & Compliance – Enforce all safety protocols and ensure compliance with project specifications and local regulations.
  • Client Communication – Serve as the main point of contact for clients on-site, providing updates and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Problem Solving – Anticipate challenges, resolve site issues quickly, and adapt plans to changing conditions.
  • Training & Mentorship – Provide guidance to Junior Crew Leads and crew members, helping them grow into future leaders.
  • Equipment Operation – Operate and oversee safe use of tools, machinery, and heavy equipment, including skid steers and excavators.
  • Quality Control – Inspect work regularly to ensure precision, durability, and aesthetics meet or exceed standards.
  • Reporting – Use company systems and apps for timesheets, project tracking, and documentation.
