I. QUALIFICATIONS: · Possess good landscape experience · Ability to work effectively with people of varying skill levels · Must be a highly motivated and fast learner · Should be able to lift 50+ lbs consistently · Strong ability to pay attention to detail · Should be available to work a varied schedule (Saturdays included) · Must possess strong knowledge of land care and grounds maintenance · Must have attained age 18 or higher · Must have a current valid driver’s license · Should possess excellent and good driving record · Self-motivated, self-directed requiring minimal supervision · Embrace change and can adapt quickly with a “whatever it takes” attitude II. RESPONSIBILITIES · Cut lawn using hand, power, or riding mower and trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls. · Landscape by planting flowers, grass, shrubs, and bushes. Pull weeds. · Sweep/blow/vacuum walkway and parking lots of debris. · Cut and trim shrubs and trees as needed. · Perform repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized. · Repair irrigation as required. · Rake, mulch, and prune the grounds as needed. · Applies fertilizer, pesticides, and herbicides as needed. · Remove trash/debris and empty outdoor trash cans to ensure a clean campus. General Expectations: · Maintains flexible working hours as determined by the needs of the ministry. · Put measures in place to ensure that equipment and supplies are secured against damage, loss, or theft. · Utilize task tracking/work order system. · Begin and end projects within reasonable timeframes and communicates needs. · Aligned with organizational vision, goals, values, and policies. · Works well with others and within a team environment

Responsibilities

The Landscaping/Grounds Technician is responsible for maintaining the grounds by cutting lawns, planting flowers, and performing equipment repairs. Additional duties include sweeping walkways, trimming shrubs, and applying fertilizers and pesticides as needed.
