Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Landscaping Maintenance Supervisor
to join our growing team. This entry-level position leadership role is perfect for someone
with hands-on learning experience who is ready to take the next step into a supervisory
position. You will oversee one team member initially, ensuring quality work, safety, and
efficiency while maintaining high standards for our client’s outdoor spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and work alongside a small team to complete daily landscape
maintenance tasks.
- Assign and oversee work, ensuring projects are completed on time and meet
quality standards.
- Monitor equipment and tools for maintenance needs and report any repairs or
replacements.
- Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety procedures and proper
equipment use.
- Communicate daily goals, progress, and issues.
- Provide hands-on training and guidance to team members.
- Interact professionally with clients and represent the company positively.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in landscaping,
horticulture, or a related field is a plus.
- 1+ year(s) of landscaping ground maintenance, or related experience.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Basic leadership skills and the ability to motivate others.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to operate and maintain landscaping tools and equipment safely.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of basic horticulture and plant care.
- Basic mechanical skills for equipment troubleshooting.
- Experience with irrigation systems a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical labor outdoors for extended
periods.
