This is a genuinely exciting role that occupies a key position within the company. Your duties are enormously varied and touch on all areas of operations. The company are a General Landscaper, based in Exeter who specialise in Commercial Landscaping, New Build Housing, Private Gardens and Grounds Maintenance. An internal promotion means that they are looking for a replacement Senior Manager to cover an area that includes North Devon, Somerset and North Cornwall.
You will have primary responsibility for all of the companies’ landscaping operations, varying from £200k+ projects, soft landscaping new build housing sites through smaller commercial works and large private gardens to small, £1k garden improvements. You will oversee all aspects of the project lifecycle from client meetings, quotations and minor design works through project planning and scheduling to purchasing materials and supervising construction. Throughout you will ensure that all works are completed on time and to the contract specification and that all site-specific risk assessments, method statements, and COSHH are in place and adhered to.
You will be responsible for payment applications and passing information to finance department for prompt invoicing and liaise with them to ensure any retentions, additional works and outstanding accounts are paid once a contract is completed. Throughout you will be looking to identify new opportunities for sales and business growth.
You will attend client prestart and hand over meetings where appropriate, and explore opportunities for continuing maintenance once the warranty period has expired. You will liaise with clients, site managers, quantity surveyors, landscape architects, and other stakeholders to ensure good client communication and relations are maintained.
Ideally you will have;
· Experience of estimating and AutoCAD or Bluebeam software
· Writing tender submissions and private quotations
· Hard Landscaping experience and some knowledge of construction
· A good knowledge of plants and possibly a horticultural qualification
· Experience managing multiple sites together with risk assessments, H&S, RAMS and CoSHH
· A current CSCS card and ideally SSSTS or SMSTS qualification

Pay: £48,000.00-£55,000.00 per year

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (required)
