Description
This position is designated for night shift. The regular schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts per week. Candidates must be available and willing to work during overnight hours as part of their standard work schedule. As a Landside Supervisor, you will provide daily operational leadership, management supervision, customer service, and support to front-line staff who serve parking customers, oversee commercial operators on Port property, and provide transportation for airport employees and passengers. You will be responsible for supporting Public Parking, Ground Transportation, Employee Parking, and Airport Transit Operations. You will manage the day-to-day operations and employees from four lines of business ensuring smooth operations and employees adhere to the proper training policies and standard operating procedures. You will administer the hiring, training, performance evaluations, payroll and managing of non-represented and represented front line employees. You will respond to grievances and assist with contract language during contract negotiations. You will initiate, promote and deliver exceptional customer service responses to service concerns. You will provide an organized approach to unplanned events and arrive timely to all incidents that involve landside operations, and complete necessary safety reports as required. You will plan for implementing and enforcing safety and security measures with the landside operations and lines of business and coordinate with Port Police, Fire, and Airport Duty Managers to keep operations running during irregular operations. You will oversee technology responsibilities that include the Parking Guidance System and License Plate Recognition that encompasses system monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, data management and analysis. You will assist with data and trend analysis, managing line of business annual revenue, development, monitoring of expense budgets, and administering contracts and service agreements. You will ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and permits and keep up to date on relevant regulations and make necessary adjustments to operations accordingly. Experienced – You have three (3) years of experience working in a transportation, airport and/or operations environment. You also have one (1) year of supervisory/lead/mentor experience including leading a project or process. Desired – We hope you have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Transportation or Aviation Management and a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a Passenger (P1) endorsement and Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Card. We also hope you have taken American Association of Airport Executives or Airports Council International – Ground Transportation/Landside Operations courses. Familiarity with revenue parking technologies, including sensors, cameras, license plate reader systems, gate systems, and related infrastructure is also desired.
