JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking one reliable, confident experienced Lane Control Tech for a 6 day -12hr shift job coming up in Richmond BC. If that goes well, it may transition into a full time job eventually with your own truck. This position requires a proactive individual who can effectively manage traffic flow while prioritizing safety for both workers and the public. A class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record is required. We are a small company who is the beginning growth stages so there is a lot of room to grow with the company. We provide a great workplace, care about our employees and need reliable, experienced staff to help us grow. It’s a great opportunity. Work references would be appreciated.
We also need several experienced certified TCPs for the same upcoming job. A valid Driver’s license is very beneficial but not a requirement as long as you have reliable transportation to get to job sites around the lower mainland on time Traffic Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of traffic around construction sites and other work zones. This position requires a proactive individual who can effectively manage traffic flow while prioritizing safety for both workers and the public.
The ideal candidate will already be a certified TCP. As we grow, we are also willing to train TCPs to be an Lane Control Tech with your own truck. There will be a lot of room for promotion with this small but growing traffic control company.
We are looking for reliable, smart, healthy, hard working and personable people to join our growing team. You need to be able to manage stressful situations and control your emotions. We can accommodate different types of availability and part time and full time employees. We have several positions available. We are also willing to train someone brand new to the traffic control industry and pay for the TCP course for the right candidate. A strong grasp of written and spoken English is necessary for this role. Must be able to legally work in Canada. A class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record is preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in traffic control or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment operation is a plus.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with team members and the public.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on safety protocols.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as required.
