Description

We are seeking a skilled Laptop and Printer Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining laptops, desktops, and printers, ensuring minimal downtime and smooth IT operations. The technician should have strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on technical expertise, and the ability to provide excellent customer support.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Diploma/Degree in Computer Engineering, IT, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience (minimum 3–5 years) as a Laptop/Printer Technician or IT Support Engineer.
  • Strong knowledge of laptop and desktop hardware components.
  • Hands-on experience in repairing different printer brands (laser, inkjet, multifunction).
  • Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and printer management software.
  • Familiarity with networking basics (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, LAN).
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair laptops, desktops, and printers (hardware and software issues).
  • Install, configure, and upgrade hardware components and drivers.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing of IT equipment.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues related to laptops and printers.
  • Replace faulty parts such as motherboards, screens, keyboards, hard drives, memory modules, toners, and printer drums.
  • Install and configure printer drivers, firmware, and network printing solutions.
  • Maintain service logs, repair reports, and spare parts inventory.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users on IT equipment usage.
  • Ensure timely completion of service calls and adhere to service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Stay updated with the latest laptop, printer, and peripheral technologies.
