JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their property. This role requires a proactive approach to security, effective communication skills, and the ability to respond swiftly to emergencies. The Armed Security Officer will work closely with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary, ensuring the highest level of safety for all individuals on the premises.

SKILLS

• Valid security officer certification or equivalent training is preferred.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Proficient in first aid and CPR techniques; certification is a plus.
• Experience with CCTV systems and surveillance technology.
• Background in law enforcement or military service is advantageous.
• Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and techniques.
• Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective reporting and interaction with clients and law enforcement.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in high-stress environments.

• Patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
• Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
• Enforce security policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Conduct regular inspections of property and facilities to identify potential security risks.
• Provide first aid and CPR assistance as needed in emergency situations.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies during incidents or investigations.
• Document all incidents, observations, and activities in detailed reports.
• Participate in conflict management strategies to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
• Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying theft or fraud attempts.
