About the Role We are growing our team and have a vacancy for a Veterinary Technician to join our busy mixed animal clinic based in Levin. Levin & Horowhenua Vets is a busy mixed practice. They’ve been serving their community for over 80 years and have a strong and well-regarded production animal team. The companion animal side is equally busy, and the team is very proactive about creating offers that develop and expand their customer base. Responsibilities include: Carrying out a variety of farm calls, this may include: calf disbudding blood sampling condition scoring vaccinating drenching Manage lab samples, carrying out a large range of in-house lab work Giving advice to farmers and lifestylers when they come into clinic Providing excellent standards of care for our patients and clients Anesthetic monitoring and carrying out procedures in clinic with large animals Administration support for veterinarians We are looking for a person who has the following qualities: Applicant will ideally have a Bachelor of Veterinary Technology, but if you have relevant experience, please apply Can work in a team, but who is equally confident to work by themselves Excellent organisational skills An excellent standard of customer service Excellent written and oral communication skills Have a passion for animal health and wellbeing Have initiative and a pro-active work ethic What we can offer you: Long service benefits CPD allowance and opportunities Staff discounts on products and services Annual flu vaccinations Paid Volunteer Day Partner offers with Toyota, BNZ and PBTech.
