JOB OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking a Large Format Print Operator to join our team in Mississauga. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the efficient operation of large format printers and support the overall production of print and signage materials. This position is responsible for delivering high-quality work on time, following specific customer and project requirements.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to open, manage, and process digital print files
  • Understanding of RIP software – Onyx Thrive experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of print file setup including bleeds, trim marks, and cut lines
  • Comfortable performing routine equipment maintenance
  • Experience working with wide-format printers and finishing equipment (asset)
  • Vehicle wrap experience is an asset

EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in print and signage production
  • Experience in a production or preflight role is preferred
  • Vinyl installation or vehicle wrap experience is considered an asset

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly equipment maintenance as recommended by vendors
  • Assist with monitoring and maintaining adequate inventory levels
  • Ensure all jobs meet internal quality standards before delivery or installation
  • Support workflow by adjusting priorities based on job urgency and changing demands
  • Identify and suggest operational improvements for greater production efficiency
  • Load and handle various media types including roll and rigid materials
  • Maintain production records and report equipment issues or delays promptly
