POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Laser Operator plays a key role in the production process, responsible for setup, operation, and inspection of CNC laser cutting equipment. From interpreting technical drawings to executing precise cutting sequences, this position requires both technical expertise and a commitment to quality.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication and general manufacturing processes.
  • At least 5 years’ hands-on CNC laser machine operation experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and flat patterns with confidence.
  • Proficiency in part inspections using precision measurement tools.
  • Exposure to nesting software is an asset.
  • Forklift license and/or crane operation certification are advantages.
  • Comfortable working in an MRP-driven environment with basic computer skills.
  • Team-oriented, with problem-solving skills and strong communication abilities.

EDUCATION:

High school diploma combined with a technical diploma or equivalent practical experience in CNC laser operations.
