POSITION SUMMARY:
The Laser Safety Officer is responsible for overseeing the laser safety program for the organization, maintain all required regulatory equipment registrations, ensure that only those credentialed to operate the laser are doing so, and that Laser Safety in the Operating Room and Procedure Areas is being followed. This will be a shared duty of the Laser Safety Officer, laser Operators, and the Biomedical Technician of the hospital.
