JOB DESCRIPTION:

We’re looking for a Last Mile Transportation Planner to help shape the future of our store delivery operations across 120–180 locations. In this role, you’ll optimize delivery routes, leverage cutting-edge logistics technology, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timely, cost-effective merchandise flow. You’ll be at the heart of strategic planning, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives that directly impact store efficiency and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
  • Responsible for daily flow management for store delivery in Transportation Management System (TMS) and external visibility tracking systems, including troubleshooting, contacting carriers for updates/validation, spot-checking load statuses and investigating/addressing non-compliance
  • Leverages logistics platforms (technology utilization), TMS, GPS tracking, and data analytics tools to enhance visibility and decision-making
  • Partners and works cross-functionally with Store Operations, Loss Prevention and Distribution Services to identify opportunities for change and plan implementation at the store level that simplifies their daily operation
  • Monitors and executes SOP with carriers to drive continuous improvement in last mile across Canada
  • Establishes daily communication with transportation carriers, Service Center and DCs to plan appointments ensuring efficient and smooth flow of last mile deliveries
  • Arranges contingency plans to mitigate high cost for when disruptions occur in the Supply Chain
