Responsibilities

SO, WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING AS A LAUNCH MANAGER?

  • Coordinate plant activities during new product launches, supporting Program Management in ensuring smooth execution.
  • Monitor and communicate the status of product launches, escalating issues and involving additional resources as necessary.
  • Drive solutions to resolve issues affecting product launches, ensuring on-time delivery and quality.
  • Lead pre-launch reviews and drive continuous improvement in processes, tools, and equipment.
  • Manage changes in products or manufacturing processes after SOP, collaborating with Program Management and other necessary functions.
  • Promote and ensure a safety-first approach, maintaining a zero-accident culture across the business.
  • Fulfill any deputy/back-up roles as assigned to support business needs.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL NEED:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of job experience in an industrial or automotive environment, with 3-5 years of project management experience.
  • Strong coordination and organizational skills
  • Ability to work within cross-functional teams
  • Result-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication and conflict management skills
  • Good knowledge of program and process standards, tools, and methods
  • Strong analytical capabilities
  • Strong manufacturing / engineering background with industrial press/equipment knowledge preferred
  • Quality background preferred
