Responsibilities:
SO, WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING AS A LAUNCH MANAGER?
- Coordinate plant activities during new product launches, supporting Program Management in ensuring smooth execution.
- Monitor and communicate the status of product launches, escalating issues and involving additional resources as necessary.
- Drive solutions to resolve issues affecting product launches, ensuring on-time delivery and quality.
- Lead pre-launch reviews and drive continuous improvement in processes, tools, and equipment.
- Manage changes in products or manufacturing processes after SOP, collaborating with Program Management and other necessary functions.
- Promote and ensure a safety-first approach, maintaining a zero-accident culture across the business.
- Fulfill any deputy/back-up roles as assigned to support business needs.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL NEED:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of job experience in an industrial or automotive environment, with 3-5 years of project management experience.
- Strong coordination and organizational skills
- Ability to work within cross-functional teams
- Result-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and conflict management skills
- Good knowledge of program and process standards, tools, and methods
- Strong analytical capabilities
- Strong manufacturing / engineering background with industrial press/equipment knowledge preferred
- Quality background preferred
