JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a reliable, proactive, and customer-focused Team Leader to oversee the daily operations of our launderette. You will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring high standards of service, maintaining equipment, and delivering a clean and welcoming environment for our customers.

KEY SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

• Previous experience in a supervisory or customer service role (laundry or retail environment preferred).
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and quality.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to handle minor maintenance issues.
• Basic IT and cash handling skills.

• Lead, supervise, and motivate a small team of launderette staff.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve any customer issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
• Ensure all machines (washers, dryers, etc.) are maintained, cleaned, and reported for repair when needed.
• Manage staff rotas, shift cover, and ensure adequate staffing levels during operational hours.
• Oversee daily opening and closing procedures.
• Train new staff on health & safety, customer service, and operational tasks.
• Monitor cleanliness of the premises and ensure hygiene standards are met.
• Handle cash, card payments, and daily reconciliation of takings (if applicable).
• Assist with laundry processing, folding, ironing, or delivery services as needed.
• Support stock control and ordering of cleaning products, detergents, and supplies.
