Overview We are seeking a Laundry Aide for our long term care facility. Schedule: This is 60 hours per 2 week pay period, week days and every other weekend position. Weekdays scheduled are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Hours are 6:00am-2:00pm. Responsibilities Gather linen from designated areas, transport to laundry in covered cart Sort and weigh linen in specified area of laundry. Load linen into proper washer. Start washer; monitor water temperature to assure it remains between 160 degrees to 180 degrees Fahrenheit. Load clean linen in dryer, regulating drying time and temperature. Fold and place dry linen on clean linen cart. Distribute clean linen to each floors’ linen supply room. Qualifications Have the ability to work independently and dependably to maintain the cleanliness of the common areas and resident living areas. Reading, writing and speaking English is a requirement of the position. Catholic Eldercare is an equal opportunity employer.
