The primary purpose of the Laundry Aide is to perform the day-to-day activities of the Laundry Department in accordance with current federal, state and local regulations. Responsibilities of the Full Time Laundry Aide: · Sort soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc., and place in appropriate containers or assigned areas in the laundry room and separate all items that require special stain removal/treatment · Wash and dry soiled linen, laundry and garments · Fold, count, stack, hang and distribute clean laundry, linen, garments, etc., to resident daily · Keep Laundry room floors clean · Clean walls and ceilings of laundry rooms as necessary · Turn in all unidentified laundry, linens, garments, etc., to lost and found · Discard waste/trash into proper containers Requirements · Laundry experience in healthcare preferred · Experience in a Long-Term Care facility preferred · Show kindness and respect toward residents, family members, visitors · Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Responsibilities
The Laundry Aide is responsible for sorting, washing, drying, and distributing linens and garments to residents. Additionally, they maintain the cleanliness of the laundry room and manage lost and found items.
